Why doesn't NEA.org Registration recognize me as an NEA member? Why isn't my User ID or password working?

There are two possibilities. First, if you are a new member, your information may not yet have been entered in the NEA membership database. Second, the fields that you fill out on the registration form must match (exactly) the information in the NEA membership database, so if something about you has changed (e.g., street address), or if you enter information different from the way it is entered in the database (e.g. using abbreviations in one place and not the other) the system may not recognize you. In either case, please contact our Customer Care department at www-registration@list.nea.org.

Can you tell me my forgotten password?

If you forget your password, go to the "Forgot your password?" area (linked to from the login/registration page). Submit the form with the requested information and we will send you a new, temporary password. Use this new password to log in to the members-only area, then go to the "Change Preferences" link found at the upper right of most NEA.org pages. You can then change your password to one you want using the "Change Preferences" form.

How do I change my password or User ID?

To change your password, you must first log in to the members-only area of NEA.org. Then, click on the "Change Preferences" link found in the upper right corner of most NEA.org pages. You can change your password on this page.

Remember, your User ID is your e-mail address. This can also be changed by following the instructions in the paragraph above. You can change the e-mail address (User ID) in "Change Preferences."

NOTE: Changing your e-mail address in the preferences WILL NOT change your e-mail address for any e-newsletters you've subscribed to. This must be done separately for each newsletter by following the instructions at the bottom of each newsletter.

How do I use the "Remember Me" feature in the Login box?

The "Remember Me" feature saves your User ID in a small file (cookie) on your computer. This allows you to enter the members-only areas of NEA.org by having to enter only your password each time you visit the site. To activate this feature, check the box next to "Remember Me" when you login to NEA.org.

Can I register for NEA.org if I'm not an NEA member?

No, registration is only available to NEA members. It allows them to access members-only areas of NEA.org. However, a large selection of useful information and articles is available to non-members on the NEA.org main page.
