Save the dates of February 15-16, 2019, for this symposium brought to you by the VEA and hosted by Norfolk State University.

Come to engage in discussions leading to greater diversity in hiring practices across the school divisions in the Commonwealth.

Presentations on critical factors, including recruitment strategies, partnerships and collaboration, licensure test preparation, race and gender issues, teacher mentoring, induction, and residency programs, and much more!

Audience
VEA Association leaders, K-12 teachers and administrators, human resources personnel, local school board members, college and university students and faculty, staff and administrators, and anyone else with an interest in building a more diverse K-12 workforce in the Commonwealth.

Call for Presenters
Proposals for presentations are now being accepted. Proposals are solicited for the following presentation formats: panel presentations, breakout sessions, poster sessions, and roundtables. Click here for more information.
