Celebrate Black History Month with These Resources


VEA’s Office of Human and Civil Rights offers the following resources to commemorate Black History Month

The 2019 theme for African-American History Month is “Black Migrations” The Association for the Study of African American Life and History, Inc. (ASALH) founded by Carter G. Woodson, has teaching kits available for sale that are suitable for all levels.  The web address is www.asalh.org.
