NEA Grants Offer Funding Source

In addition to VEA Mini-Grants (info at www.veanea.org), educators looking to fund a classroom project or professional development activity can also apply for grants through the NEA Foundation. Three different types of grants are available:

• Learning and Leadership Grants, which provide opportunities for educators to pursue professional growth;

• Student Achievement Grants, which fund projects that engage students in critical thinking and problem-solving that deepen knowledge of standards-based subject matter; and

• Fine Arts Grants, to create and implement programs that promote learning through the arts for at-risk students.

Each program has its own application guidelines and deadlines. For information, visit www.NEAFoundation.org.
