<p>SVEA has as one of its primary goals to inform, educate and involve its membership in educational issues. Active chapters are located at more than 40 colleges and universities in Virginia. (Click&#160;<a href="svea-chapters.html">here</a>&#160;for a list of participating chapters.)</p>

<p>Student Membership is available if you are enrolled in a postsecondary program that is preparatory for employment in a position that will make you eligible for Active (teacher) membership in the National Education Association.</p>

<p>Members are automatically enrolled in both the SVEA and the National Education Association Student Program. When you join, you'll get access to exclusive benefits such as online Praxis study materials and a liability coverage&#160;policy with $1 million of coverage.&#160;</p>
