VEA Members: Take a Discount on Online Courses
VEA members can add to their knowledge of topics like differentiated instruction and teaching vocabulary-and enjoy a discounted rate-thanks to a new partnership between VEA and the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS).
PBS TeacherLine offers online professional development in more than 100 courses in math, reading/language arts, science, instructional strategies, and more. The content is developed in conjunction with professional groups in math, reading, and English, and courses address Virginia issues and standards. Continuing education units, professional development points, and graduate credits from James Madison University and other colleges are available.
To check out course options, go to www.virginiateacherline.org. VEA members who sign up for a course will receive a $25 discount. Questions? Contact VEA's Betty Lambdin at 1-800-552-9554, ext. 332, or blambdin@veanea.org.
