Get Ready for NEA's Read Across America Day
Read Across America is the Association's signature initiative supporting reading, and many localities plan events to occur on our near Dr. Seuss' birthday, March 2.
The Read Across America section of the NEA website has numerous resources available to help you plan and celebrate reading this year, including:
- Read Across America calendars. Features award-winning books and posters.
- Video channel. NEA has created a special channel for posting your Read Across videos and viewing others'.
- PR tools to help you get notices by the media.
- Activity suggestions.
Go to http://www.nea.org/grants/886.htm and you'll get the details on these and other suggestions for making your RAA celebration the best ever.
Note: Dr. Seuss hats, clothing, and the like are available through the NEA Professional Library page. The VEA does not maintain a stock of these items for Association use, so please contact the NEA Professional Library early and place your orders!
