Latest on VEA/Richmond Flying Squirrels Game

The VEA/Richmond Flying Squirrels was rained out Friday, but we’re pushing ahead! The Flying Squirrels have offered rain checks for all those holding tickets. Simply take your ticket to the box office on any of the remaining game days to redeem it for a seat. The Squirrels will do their best to provide you with an equivalent seat in the Diamond section, subject to availability. If your schedule does not permit a return to Richmond on any of the game days listed below, the Virginia Education Association will provide a refund. Simply send the tickets into VEA c/o of the Executive Director, Philip Forgit. Be certain to include your name and return address somewhere on or in the envelope. Here are the remaining games: August 30-vs. Harrisburg Senators @ 7:05 PM; August 31-vs. Harrisburg Senators @ 6:05 PM; September 1-vs. Harrisburg Senators @ 2:05 PM; September 2-vs. Harrisburg Senators @ 12:05 PM Labor Day Game-VEA 150th First Pitch.

The Flying Squirrels have set aside a 50 ticket section for the Labor Day game to celebrate the VEA 150th. At 11:30, VEA Vice-President Dominic Melito and VEA President Meg Gruber will take to the mound for the first pitch. Tickets are first come, first serve for this block. Send $10 per ticket request to VEA. You can pick them up on game day at the Group Sales booth. If you are holding a ticket and want to go to the Labor Day game, please send your name into the VEA Executive Director, Philip Forgit, and he will make arrangements with the Squirrels to place you in the section, or if tickets have sold out for the section, get you a reserved seat in the stadium for the game. You will need to bring your ticket to redeem your seat which will also be held at the Group Sales booth.
