Year Round Organizing Resources

Year Round Organizing Resources - VEA Website

Building stronger unions, one conversation at a time.

Year-Round Organizing (YRO) resources empower state affiliates to create a sustained culture of organizing that grows membership, develops leaders, and strengthens educator voices throughout the school year. NEA’s Year-Round Organizing Framework centers around key field strategies that naturally flow through each of the four seasonal components of a typical school year. Each campaign builds on the momentum of each other, helping members and staff work together to grow our union and create the change our public schools need.

From comprehensive training materials and organizing toolkits to data management systems and communication templates, these resources support affiliates in implementing the seven key field strategies that drive effective member engagement. Whether you’re planning Back-to-School campaigns, managing new employee orientations, or conducting transformational organizing conversations, our YRO resources provide the tools, guidance, and support you need to build powerful, sustainable organizing programs that deliver real wins for educators and students.
