Workshop Events

About Our Workshops

We are pleased to offer a wide range of workshops for free (to our local Unions and SVEA Aspiring Educators) and for a nominal charge (for school divisions). A quick guide to how we work, before you browse the offerings below:

  • All requests shall be made at least 4-6 weeks in advance to arrange for a trainer or trainers.
  • Sessions may be offered on weekdays or Saturdays. Trainer availability is limited on weekdays.
  • The session must have at least 20 participants or it will be cancelled. If there will be more than 40 participants, two trainers are required.
  • Confirmation of number of participants shall be made with the VEA no later than one week prior to scheduled session. If confirmation is not made at least one week in advance, the session will be cancelled.
  • Our workshops are designed to be delivered within the specified session length provided next to the workshop title. In most cases, we are unable to accommodate session lengths that are less than the specified time.

Additional information is provided when you complete the workshop request form.
