The VEA’s 2021 Legislative Agenda includes four major areas:
The following legislation has been introduced in the 2021 General Assembly to complement the VEA’s 2021 Legislative Agenda. We extend thanks to the Senators and Delegates for their patron of these bills and look forward to working with lawmakers to advance these important initiatives.

According to the Economic Policy Institute, teachers in Virginia earn 67 cents on the dollar compared to other (non-teacher) college-educated workers. Virginia’s teacher wage penalty is the worst in the nation.
